The FamEase app may request permissions only when needed for a feature. Required permissions may include camera or file access for document upload, notifications for status updates, and contact or communication permissions where a user chooses to invite or coordinate with family members. Optional permissions can be denied, though some features may not work fully without them.

FamEase data is stored on AWS infrastructure located in Mumbai, India (ap-south-1) during normal operations. Security measures include HTTPS/TLS for data in transit, encryption at rest using AES-256 or equivalent safeguards, role-based access controls, staff access logging, password hashing where applicable, firewall rules, private network controls, and vulnerability assessments.

If a data breach affects personal data, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by the DPDP Act, 2023 and applicable rules.

Under the DPDP Act, 2023, you may have the right to access a summary of personal data, request correction, request erasure, withdraw consent, raise a grievance, and nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.

FamEase is intended for adults aged 18 and above. If a case involves a minor, such as a minor heir or beneficiary, information about the minor is collected only with consent from a parent, guardian, or legally authorised person. If you believe child data was provided without proper authority, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our services, technology, or legal obligations. Material updates may be communicated through in-app notices, email, or website updates. Continued use of FamEase after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
